Okay, pardon my French, but, what in the FUCK has happened to the Discovery Channel?
Every time I turn it on, all I see are shows about rebuilding cars, motorcycles, turning semis into trebuchets, and so on. It seems that Discovery Channel has turned into the Gearhead Channel. Most of the good programming I remember seeing on it years ago, such as wildlife documentaries, science-related programming, shows about aircraft, war documentaries, and so on have either completely vanished, or moved to spinoff channels that I don't get.
Not that I have anything against gearheads, and sometimes I do find those shows interesting, but overall the channel's transformation is negative. Why not spin the gearhead stuff off to another channel, and keep the regular "Discovery Channel" a home for general science and technology programming?

I remember long ago where Discovery was mostly the World War II channel - too many of those documentaries. - Now I think they have just tried to spread too few programs out to too many spinoff channels. - Heck how many Discovery channels can there be?
BTW I like the site here- I'm looking into a CMS to replace all the php I've hacked together - Something that would make life easier.

Yeah, this CMS has made my site a lot spiffier to run. I can post lots of cool stuff quickly and organize it without having to edit 5 different HTML pages to link in every page I add.

i remember a really long time ago... i was like 5 and they had lots of wildlife specials. all i know there is the normal discovery, discovery times (millitary channel), discovery health, discovery wings and like 3 different HD channels.

It is very disturbing and quite obvious that these types of programs aired during the Christmas ans Easter seasons are intended to remove the religious meaning of these important christain holidays. As a christian I am offended by the references to the new testament as interpreted by nonchristians or opinions by christians taken completely out of context.Such propaganda is not appropriate and is quite offensive as well as flawed. If anyone who has read the new testament is actually listening to such ludicrous statements as Jesus making negative references to children in the bible they would easily call to mind actual bible verse such as "suffer the little children to come to me" It is comparable to refernces about the actual amount of wealth and control by jewish people in germany just before hitler's takeover and how it resulted in the deaths of jews along with MANY others in world war two. Though my last statement has some factual basis, your programing lacks any.
